Commitment to Sustainable Tourism with a Strong Sense of Identity

From GERCETUR – Gobierno Regional de Cusco, we're proud to announce the approval of the Master Plan for Machu Picchu 2026–2030. This is a key roadmap that sets the direction for truly sustainable tourism development, while protecting our incredible cultural and natural heritage and making sure local communities have a real seat at the table.

The approval came during an important meeting with the participation of Regional Governor Werner Salcedo and our Regional Manager of Foreign Trade, Tourism, and Crafts, Rosendo Baca. Their presence really drives home GERCETUR's serious commitment to responsible, inclusive tourism management one that's focused on creating real opportunities for local people and delivering safe, high-quality experiences for every visitor who comes through.

We're going to keep working hand-in-hand with everyone involved to make sure Machu Picchu stays protected, well-organized, and sustainable for the long haul. It's a source of pride not just for Peru, but for the whole world.
