1. Our Service

Andean Travel Experience is a Peruvian tour operator offering customized private and luxury tours in Peru. We handle the planning, booking, and coordination of your travel, including accommodations, transportation, guides, and activities as specified in your itinerary. While we work with trusted third-party suppliers to deliver high-quality experiences, these suppliers operate independently.

 

2. Insurance

Andean Travel Experience and its representatives are not liable for any expenses, damages, or losses incurred by clients or their companions during the trip.

  • Travelers are responsible for any emergency services required and must pay providers directly.
  • We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance to cover medical emergencies, cancellations, or unforeseen events.
  • Consult with your physician for health-related travel advice, including necessary vaccinations or medications.

3. Travel Documents

You are responsible for ensuring that your passport is valid and meets entry requirements for Peru and any other countries included in your itinerary.

  • Requirements vary based on nationality and are subject to change.
  • We provide general guidelines but recommend verifying specifics with the relevant embassy or consulate.

4. Privacy

Andean Travel Experience respects your privacy and collects only essential personal information for booking and planning purposes, such as:

  • Contact information, passport details, and travel preferences.
  • We do not share your information with third parties except when required for reservations or as authorized by you.
  • By confirming your booking, you authorize Andean Travel Experience to use your information as necessary to organize your trip.

5. Health

By booking with Andean Travel Experience, you confirm that you are physically fit for travel and accept the risks of high-altitude destinations. You agree to obtain necessary vaccinations and consult your physician regarding any medical concerns.

 

6. Limitation of Liability, Release, and Indemnity

Andean Travel Experience acts as an intermediary between clients and independent suppliers, such as hotels, airlines, and transportation services.

  • We are not liable for delays, cancellations, overbooking, mechanical issues, natural disasters, strikes, or other situations beyond our control.
  • Refunds or compensation for such incidents must be sought directly from the service provider.
  • We assist with alternative arrangements as a courtesy but cannot assume responsibility for additional costs or missed connections.

7. Payment, Cancellation, and Refund Policies
Payment

  • A deposit of 30% of the total trip cost is required to confirm your booking.
  • The remaining 70% is due no later than 30 days before your trip.

Cancellation

  • Full refund minus a $150 fee if canceled 45+ days before the trip.
  • 70% refund for cancellations made 30–45 days prior.
  • 50% refund for cancellations made 15–29 days prior.
  • 20% refund for cancellations made 7–14 days prior.
  • No refunds for cancellations made less than 7 days before the trip.

Important: Deadlines that fall on holidays or weekends must be processed in advance.

Special Terms for Specific Services

Domestic Flights: Subject to airline terms. Postponement or cancellations may incur extra fees (paid by the client). Cancellation incurs a $75/person/route fee.

Inca Trail: Entrance fees ($150/person) are non-refundable and non-transferable. Postponement or cancellation results in the loss of this fee.

Machu Picchu & Surroundings:

  • Entrance tickets to Machu Picchu: $50/person is non-refundable.
  • Huayna Picchu and Machu Picchu Montaña tickets: $60/person is non-refundable.
  • Tickets cannot be changed or transferred once purchased.
