Andean Travel Experience's Commitment Against the Sexual Exploitation of Children and Adolescents (ESNNA)
Our Commitment to the ESNNA Program
The Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (Mincetur) leads the ESNNA program, a comprehensive initiative aimed at promoting social development and protecting vulnerable groups. This program seeks to raise awareness and train Peru's tourism industry to prevent and eradicate the sexual exploitation of children and adolescents.
At Andean Travel Experience, we are fully committed to the principles of the ESNNA program. We have adopted a Code of Conduct that outlines clear guidelines to prevent any actions that may harm minors. Additionally, we ensure that our team members and business partners receive proper training to meet the Code’s requirements.
We recognize that child trafficking remains a significant issue in Peru. Through ethical tourism practices, we promote economic development and improve the quality of life in the communities we visit. Our participation in the ESNNA program reflects our dedication to reducing and eradicating this critical problem.
Actions Under the ESNNA Code of Conduct
As part of our adherence to the ESNNA Code of Conduct, we have implemented specific and sustainable actions across all our tourism activities:
- Staff Training: Our team, including guides, drivers, cooks, and administrative staff, receives specialized training to ensure compliance with ethical and legal standards.
- Collaboration with Partners: We work closely with hotels, restaurants, and other business partners to promote responsible practices aligned with the objectives of the ESNNA program.
- Reporting Violations: We are committed to reporting any actions that violate the Code of Conduct to the appropriate authorities.
Social Responsibility at Andean Travel Experience
In addition to our participation in the ESNNA program, Andean Travel Experience implements initiatives to enhance the well-being of local communities. We create sustainable income opportunities for families in the areas we visit and provide support to children on special occasions.
We firmly believe that tourism can be a powerful tool for positive social change. Our commitment to social responsibility and respect for human rights guides all our actions.
Together, we can make a difference.
