The Advantages of Reserving your Inca Trail Trek Ahead of Time
Secure your Inca Trail permits for 2025 by reserving your permit prior to October 2024. It is important to note that due to the implementation of the New Porter’s Law, the Inca Trail porter´s salary will increase, which will lead to a difference in costs for all Inca Trail treks in 2025.This Will be the same for all Inca Trail Operators. By making your booking ahead of time enables travelers to secure the best campsites along the Inca Trail. If you leave it until the last-minute, the only campsites that will be available, will not be ideal for the 4 day Inca Trail trek. While campsites such as Phuyupatamarca are fine on the 5 day Inca Trail Trek, if you are hiking the 4 day Trek it will mean that you will face a strenuous 6-hour hike on the final day to reach Machu Picchu, thus arriving at around noon in Machu Picchu via the Inca Trail.

Another advantage of booking ahead of time is that you are guaranteed availability. Certain dates during high season are certain to sell out on the first day that the permits go on sale. Usually, May and June are the most popular months.

Additionally, if you are thinking of changing your travel dates, please be aware that this Will mean losing out on the permit already purchased. The only way to change your departure date is by buying the new Inca trail permit which is dependent on availability.
Which Machu Picchu Circuit Will I Hike?
All hikers on the Inca Trail in 2025 will follow circuit 3 when they arrive at Machu Picchu. This applies to everyone hiking the Inca Trail. There are no exceptions and this is the case for ALL Inca Trail Tour operators. If you wish to hike a different circuit at Machu Picchu, you will need to purchase another entrance ticket and re-enter Machu Picchu.
Which Month is Best for Hiking The Inca Trail Trek to Machu Picchu?
